Tummy troubles struck again last night at almost the same time they did a week ago ... what in the world? I have no idea what I have, but I'm done with it ... no more ... so next week we will skip from Tuesday to Thursday, ok?
Matt is convinced I am eating poorly and drinking way too much iced tea ... so I'll ask for your opinion ...
Breakfast - Almost daily I have two slices of Oatnut Toast sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon & sugar. A big glass (probably 20 oz) of iced tea goes so nicely with it ...
Lunch - This could be anything from Mac-n-Cheese w/ Veggies; Granny Smith Apple w/ Cheese Slices & Peanut Butter; Cheese, Salami & Crackers; Soup; Sandwich & Chips & Veggies
(also usually had with iced tea ... maybe a soda about twice a week)
Dinner - Of course this varies, but it's always something substantial, like Pasta & Salad; Hamburgers & Veggies; Chicken & Salad, etc.
Snacks - Handful of cashews; Bananna w/ Peanut Butter; Cookie
(Oh and all non-water drinks are followed by a full glass of water ... so it's not like I'm not getting water throughout the day ... I am.)
Seriously ... is that terrible eating?!
So in order to appease Dr. Matt, I'm not drinking any tea today ... it's a sad, dark day in this house ... seriously, it's not even noon and I'm in full mourning ... yes I know, that shows signs that I may have a serious addiction here ... Oh-well!! A girls gotta have a vice in life ... and iced tea seems like a pretty reasonable one.
Happy Thursday, so glad it's great TV tonight because I'm guessing I'll be in bed early!!

I hate to agree with Matt but the first thing I thought was "Maybe it's all that iced tea". Is it caffeinated iced tea or do you drink decaf? It may be the caffeine, not the tea itself. I had a friend who had similar issues when she was drinking too much caffeine. I hope you're feeling better! An all new episode of The Office is on tonight! :)
No way... couldn't be the iced tea. You know tea's been around FOREVER. (Longer than the mochas the Dr. Matt drinks). Though, I agree with Kelly, could be the caffeine. Would it be possible to switch to decaf? I can't taste any difference, and it's what I prefer. But all in all, your diet is pretty good, you look great, and your vice could be much worse. You don't have an ulcer do you? Could be the nagging ;)
Your diet sounds a.o.k. to me. The iced tea would have been the last thing I thought of that would be making your stomach upset. Especially if you have been drinking it for so long. Why would you all of a sudden have problems. Keep drinking the tea, you're right-a girls gotta have a vice in life!
Perhaps it is an allergy, yes? My tummy gets all out of whack when I have too much milky goodness...
Well you didn't talk to me last night, so I can't be blamed for this. Unless, maybe that is the problem, that you do need to talk to me to have your *moment*. :) LOL!
Sorry your tummy's hurting. I agree, I think it's the caffine. I can't have it either - as you know - b/c it makes my tummy turn inside out. At least your head doesn't hurt. (Giggle, giggle). :)
I too had tummy problems this week and stayed home Tues and half of Wed. I think there's a bug out there. I don't think its the caffeine unless your tummy problems are occuring fairly soon after drinking the tea.
YOu could keep a food diary to see if you have specific triggers.
Feel better.
Dr. Matt says that you have way more problems than just a little of the big "D."
Dr. Matt does not mean "Dallas."
I thought you should know that your sister has just started the macrobiotic diet because so many things seem out of place! I didn't want to tell you because I'm not sure how successful I'll be, but it is supposed to help with mood swings, energy levels, etc. I'll update you in a week and let you know how I've survived. Love you good luck!
