{Iced Tea Break}

{Credit}

So, first things first, before we sit down for tea & cookies, let me just say I am feeling so much better about having you over. I've freshened things up a bit and feel so much more like hosting company ... my other blog design was dreadful and silly as it may be, part of the reason I didn't want to hang out here much.

You like?

Here's a cookie, a little leftover from yesterday ... to show you how much I love you.

Now let me tell you that Ethan did SO good at the orthodontisit last Thursday. As they were fitting him with 'appliance' for his reverse face pull (I so did not make that up) he got the biggest tears in his eyes and I could tell he was thinking, 'no way, this is not what I signed up for, take this thing off.' But, he quickly wiped the tears away and worked through it. I still don't think I've worked through it ... seeing him with that contraption on when I check on him before I go to bed makes me sad.

But, pretty soon, he'll have a whole new even better smile ...

Next I'd tell you about the wonderful weekend I had. Wonderful in a the way you picture a perfect weekend, but rarely does it turn out that way. Matt kicked off our "Valentine's Date Night" with a bouquet of tulips and then we dinner, a little shopping (full length 'leaning' mirror for our bedroom) and TV. E got to enjoy an overnighter with two of his favorite people.

Saturday was a nice slow start for me with the house to myself as Matt took the car to the tire shop. I ate breakfast, read some blogs and did some fun sewing. After Matt & E got back we had lunch, took naps and then I went on a run in the beautiful sunshine. Hello running in February in capris and a tank top! Apparently I didn't feel like cooking because we ordered pizza for dinner. Mmmmm.

Sunday I met up with my mom and sister after church where my Mom gave us our Valentine's presents (how cute is that?) which were awesome scarves she had crocheted for us. Love mine.

I'd tell you how yesterday was not all that eventful, but I showed both my boys how much I love them, from decorations, to special treats to hugs, kisses and a delicious home cooked meal. Matt showed me how much he loved me by making a special trip out to get me a salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks ;).

Now tell me, as I refill your tea and grab you another cookie ... what would you tell me?

Happy Tuesday!

Nothing says "I love you" like Ninjago :)

Your cookies are adorable! I had grand plans to make cookies for after school yesterday but figured the day didn't really need more sugar. Especially with the pot of chocolate I knew was on the menu. :)

Love the new scarf! I was going to ask yesterday if it was a new one but I'm losing track of your scarves! :)

Love the scarf!! Glad E's ortho appt. went well. Bless his heart! I hated having to see Maddy with her little contraption too so I know how ya feel. Hang in there! A more beautiful (or should I say handsome) smile is in the making!

You're title has been tricking me, I thought it was still the same iced tea break, but oh no or should I say oh yes, it's new!

I'm glad I'm caught up. After reading about E and his soon to be new smile ... I want to shout out my little secret, but it hasn't happened yet and I still can't really believe it's going to. Hope E is adjusting and doing well!

You're V-day weekend/day sounds nice. Don't you just love flowers!

Happy almost Friday!
