A few more ...

... before we say good-bye to 2009 photos and hello 2010 photos!

We woke up to a snowy scene last Tuesday ... a little Winter Wonderland for about 24 hours. I'm glad I snapped a photo because it is now all gone ...

Ethan having fun jumping on the trampoline with several inches of snow~

Lastly I wanted to share two of my favorite handmade gifts from Christmas (I now have a third favorite, but still need to take a photo to share). Many of you know that I went handmade on several Christmas presents (which should be up on the Knitty Bitties blog tomorrow), but Matt and my sister also did a little 'handmade' gifting.

In November, I was looking through the Sunday ads and saw a Lego table advertised. I mentioned to Matt that I thought this would be great for two reasons, one Ethan loves to play with Legos so it get a lot of use; two because it might just keep precious Lego creations off of the fireplace hearth, TV stand and anywhere else Ethan could find. So Matt being the man he is, said he should just build him one ... which is why not only is this a Lego table, but one that matches the rest of our furniture in the living room helping it blend in a little better. I think we all love it!

Now this second gift may not technically be 'handmade,' but I say the handpicking and putting together counts as handmade. My sister and her husband, Marshall, gave my parents and Matt and I each a framed photo from their wedding this summer. I can't tell you how much I love this gift ... my heart catches every time I walk past it ...

I think I may leave it on the mantle, right in the heart of our home!

Happy Saturday!

Perfect handmade gifts! I love a gift that come from the heart. Abigail gave me a card and wrote in it all the things she loves about me ... it was my favorite gift this year, it came right from her heart.
