So, I just cashed in 50 swagbucks for a $5 Starbucks card. That will buy this mama 2 1/3 Iced Teas ... "payment" for my hard work of searching the Internet this past month :). You might remember, I told you about Swagbucks in this post.
Now some of you may have signed up ... if you did, you didn't refer me (s0 sad) ... but, my guess is most of you were skeptical like I was at first. So I thought I would share that I did indeed earn swagbucks and in just over a month had enough to cash in for a small gift card.
Here's what else I've learned ...
- Swagbucks hasn't effected our computer performance (i.e. as far as we can tell (and as the site assures you) there is not any type of spyware or other "junk" associated with adding Swagbucks to your search choices.
- Swagbucks hasn't caused any increase in junk mail or spam.
- Swagbucks is a decent search engine. Maybe not as good as Google (although they do use Google to power their searches) ... so, if I search Swagbucks and they don't have it, I switch to Google and give it a try.
- I did not do "fake searching" just to get swagbucks. I may have used the search engine a bit more, but I didn't just randomly type to get earn the swagbucks. I typically got 1-2 swagbucks on most days and probably did 5-15 searches a day.
- Swagbucks are rewarded randomly, but I've found I usually get them (anywhere from 1-3 Swagbucks, although you can get even higher amounts like 10 - 50) within the first 3-5 searches I do. I am often rewarded again later in the day if it has been several hours in between searching.
Happy Day!
