Weekend Randomness ..................................
We finished the week with a trip to the zoo with Bethany & Claire and lunched in the park ... what a fun playdate!
I then had a WOnDERful time spending Friday night with my mom and sister. We started the night with a little shopping at Kohls, dinner at Olive Garden and then more shopping at Maurice's and Target. Oh, the silliness of three girls trying on all sorts of shoes in Target at 9:30PM on a Friday night!! I came home with a few new outfits, two pairs of shoes and some basic t's ... the second half of my birthday present from my parents.

After shopping, we headed out to my mom's to stay the night. We had a little pedicure session and then headed to bed at 1AM!! I loved it and can't wait for our next girls night.
Saturday night I got to dress up in one of my new outfits and go on a date with Matt. We had a wonderful dinner at one of our favorite little spots downtown and then I had my *heart* (oh wait I think my *stomach*) set on some chocolate mousse from the french cafe ... but I ate too much at dinner and had to save the mousse for another time ;(.

I did it!! I booked our trip to Hawaii, Maui to be exact. Let the countdown begin ... just over 3 months from now I'll be laying on a beach soaking up the sun ... as in a real "beach" where people really wear swimsuits and go swimming in the ocean water. Unlike the "beach" I typically visit that even on it's hottest day in the middle of summer is barley warm enough for me to shed my jacket! I'll post more about just where "we" decided to stay ...
A new favorite song ... Chris Tomlin's "Holy is the Lord" which I downloaded today and added to my sidebar so you could enjoy it too! My favorite part of the song is ...
I love this recipe for Pizza Carbonara ... Mmmm ... I don't know if it's the egg kick I'm on or what, but I love, love, love it and am already pondering a cold slice for breakfast tomorrow.
Alright ... that feels like enough random and disjointed thoughts for one day! I hope to be a better blogger this week, but bare with me if I skip a day here and there!
