What a beautiful way to kick off December ... our tree arrived Friday afternoon and we wasted no time setting "her" up, fluffing her and decorating her. You know what I like best about this tree ... the lights. I forget just how much I LOVE the lights. There is something about the glow of the tree that just fills me up and makes me so happy. In fact, we've hardly turned the tree off since we got it up ... good thing the lights have a five year warranty, I'm putting them to the test!

And Ethan, thouroughly enjoying his "Kwismas Twee." What a fun little helper he is. I missed seeing his reaction when the mailman brought his tree (I was out shopping) but he was practically bouncing off the walls when I got home and couldn't keep the secret of Matt "hiding" the tree from me in the closet ;). Now he says, "Mailman bring Christmas tree, no more?"

Now, the real "prompting" for the title of this post was church today. I really look forward to Sunday each week. I love the fellowship and singing and praising and my soul being nurished. Today I'm so full I'm overflowing. Seriously a wonderful way to start off this week. Today's message was on "Celebrating the Light."
The light of God's grace, Jesus Christ, coming into this darkened world, giving us HOPE.
These aren't new concepts to me: God's grace, the birth of our Savior, hope, but never had I thought of Christmas being a time to ... celebrate the light ... but now, I will never look at those tree lights the same and may not be able to put the tree away come January. I think I'm now emotionally and spiritually attached to her ;).
Happy Week Ahead!

Ah! I love it - can't wait to see it in person.

Oooo, pretty! It almost looks real. :)
For some reason this Christmas I seem to be more emotional than usual. After all these years of singing it, Joy To The World has become the most profound song. It's weird. But I totally understand what you're saying about grasping things in a different way. So far it seems to bemaking for a much more meaningful holiday season.
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful sentiment Andrea... I love thinking about it that way!! And the gifts under the tree too... so representative of the gift of our Saviour!! Good one!!
Your tree is GORGEOUS!! I love that photo of Ethan touching it.... FAB!!!
She's beautiful! I can't wait until Caire gets excited for Christmas... doesn't Ethan's excitement just make it that much better?
