Our household is coming off of almost 6 weeks of being sick ... ick! Matt still has a bit of a cough reminding us that it's not over, but I'm enjoying these sick free days while they're here. In fact, I'm so paranoid about getting sick again, that Ethan asks for Purell in the car after we leave stores to get the germs off, "no more germs on E-e's hands, mom?" And after our three hour wait with hundereds of other people last night, in a hot and stuffy building, I took a dose of Airborne last night just for good measure, LOL.
Now, if I needed drugs, at least the prescription kind, well, now would be the time to get them ... because from now until the end of the year, we pay $0 for prescriptions ... how great is that? No our health insurance plan isn't running a promotion, but we've been "lucky" enough to hit the $750 out-of-pocket maximum on our prescription plan ... whoa ... that hasn't happened ever before. I was pleasently surprised to only pay $9 for Matt's shot the other night ... it retails for $250 (for one shot) so we usually pay $75, but $9 ... that's good I thought ... and then I got home and investigated ... well, there were actually 4 shots in the package and the bill said we saved, $900 from insurance ... ah-ha, we hit our maximum. Good timing I guess ... so there you have it ... a long story about the actual joys (rather than frustration) of insurance. Can I say again how thankful I am this year for the coverage we've had ... well I am, thankful.
Happy Wednesday!
