Grateful today ...
For my dad. It's his birthday. I love him more than he probably knows.
For my parents. They are celebrating another anniversary of marriage (my Dad wanted to get married on his birthday so he'd never forget his anniversary). What a testimony of commitment ... they haven't had a perfect marriage, but they stuck with it and I love watching them in their new season of life together.
For being blessed to be born in The United States. For the right to vote. For exercising that right via the mailbox (I do not EVER want to repeat the 4 hour voting line of 2004) :D.

Ummm-hummmm!! You should be proud of your parents & their commitment - I forgot it was their anniversary today - love that they did that.

Guess I am a little late checking your blog. It is Saturday night and was a very event filled week. Thanks for sharing - glad your Dad and I made it through our first 6 months and now 36 years later are so blessed with our daughters and their families. And you are so right about being blessed to be American and our freedom, right and duty to vote. Glad I was given the opportunity to choose this country as my own. I love you.
