Who spent at least an hour today sitting on the back patio, "calling" birds with his bird whistle , then looking for them with his monocular so he could draw pictures of them in his 'sketch' pad.
Oh how I love this boy and getting to stay home with him.

And related to the quote I shared yesterday, I read this one today on Ali's blog and thought it equally true ...
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.

He is too adorable. Tell him to bring his birdie call to the coast so he can signal the seagulls. :) The 2nd pic is my fav. You should scrap it...
He cracks me up!
That's a good quote. It always makes me sad when people just get through the week to make it to the weekend. They're "surviving" 5 days just for 2? That makes no sense to me. I try so hard to be content in everyday. Not that I'm always successful in it but this day is only going to happen once so I better be "in the moment" or it will go away before I know it. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, I can't even imagine my boys doing that!
Loved your quote...copied it to write it down somewhere. I must say I have to work hard to do this and remind myself often to reset my thinking. It's been 6+ years of this life change and I'm still trying to figure it out... but I am truly grateful we have afforded the opportunity for me to stay home. I wouldn't want to miss these days, even if some are hard ;0)
Everyday they come up with something new, don't they? How funny he is!
That is absolutely adorable about Ethan!
I have that bird whistle in red. I also have a new duck whistle I bought in Chicago that E would love! Such cute pics of him too!
