"For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don't enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are that you're not going to be very happy. If someone bases his happiness or unhappiness on major events like a great new job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn't going to be happy much of the time. If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness."

Thank you Lauren, for bringing this quote to my attention ... I don't think I could find a more perfect one to reflect on right now.
In fact, last Sunday night, I was inside with Ethan as Matt was out mowing the grass ... and I all of a sudden realized that the next day was Monday, the start of a new week. And you know, I smiled ... I smiled at the fact that my job wasn't dependent on a day of the week ... I didn't have to stress out about the upcoming week ... no, I reminded myself of all the joys of staying home. Creating our own schedule, sleeping as late as we want (or rather Ethan wants), doing what we want on a whim ...
I smiled so much I went out and kissed Matt ... thanking him for providing such joy.
(P.S. Lauren found the quote on a great blog, Melody's Sofa. Written by Melody Ross, founder of Chatterbox ... right here in Eagle, Idaho. It's a great blog ... soon to be added to my sidebar along with others I REALLY like.)
Good Night!
