My guy's ...

20 in a million!

Okay, really he's 1 in a million to me, but with his new diagnosis of the rare condition, Vasculitis, he's now 20 in a million in the medical field.

I'm so thankful for him, thankful for his un-selfish attitude through all of this, how he still is thinking more about me, trying to make sure I get rest, I get some alone time, I get some pampering. Seriously, I'm thinking he's 1 in a billion.

And with a thankful attitude ... here are a few other things I'm thankful for:
The Medical World
Doctors, Scientists, the research, INSURANCE, medicine, nurses, hospitals ... all of it.

Family -
Not only do I have a hard time acceting help, but I have an even harder time asking for it. Thanks for making this easier on me. For dropping everything for me, for listening to me, just being here for me, for praying for me (and by me, I also mean the three of us) ... all of it.

Friends -
To have as many people in my life that I can truly call friends is heart warming. Thank you for the phone calls, the notes, the flowers, the Starbucks card (that brings me daily joy), the goodies, the treats ... all of it that shows how much you know me and love me.

Okay, I promise I'll lighten this up a bit ... some everyday nothing to talk about ... maybe I'll talk about:

  • Lessons in Laundry
  • The weird world of motorcycles
  • Jessie and I's scientific phenomenom
  • And a host of other thing that pop in and out of my overly busy brain ...
Happy Monday!

Isn't God great! It's always in the midst of struggle that we find out just how blessed we are. Be sure that your "guys" are more than blessed to have you as a wife and mother, and your family and friends are blessed to have you in their lives. You'd do the same for any of us...

I don't know if I could've said this 13 or 14 years ago :) but you really are blessed with a great guy! And he's blessed to have you to take care of him. I'm glad he's going to be okay.
