So I'll start off the week re-capping the wonderful weekend I had.

It started Friday night with my mom spending the evening with us. We had yummy pizza for dinner and then scooped up some ice cream cones and headed to the park with Ethan. A beautiful evening just spent hanging out. Thanks Mom, I love you!

Saturday we got up and Ethan, my mom and I went to pick up my sister for "Race for the Cure." Of course a stop at Starbucks along the way really got the morning off to a good start. We did the 5K walk with our friends Jana, Bethany & Baby Claire. A really fun morning spent celebrating the lives of woman who had been afflicted with breast cancer. What a great feeling to know you're doing a tiny bit to help fund the research to fight that awful beast. I think in total we walked more like 5 miles getting to the starting line and then back to our parking spot. We followed up with an early lunch at Cafe Ole ... blue corn tacos ... YUM, YUM!

The rest of the afternoon/evening was spent watching Ethan and Matt play in all of the dirt that was delivered to our house on Friday. We're prepping the yard for the sprinkler system and grass that will be coming very soon. Ethan of course loved it ... loves helping Dada and once the "yuck" of the dirt wears off, loves that too. I was of no help ... suffering from yucky side effects (more on that another day).

And well, I think that's a good start to the re-cap. I don't want to bore you too much for one posting ... I'll be back with more, including Mother's Day details ... tomorrow!

Night!

Healthy Habits Re-Cap:
  • Walked 4 days last week ... almost 12 miles!
  • Drank a lot more water and less pop ...
  • Fruits & Veggies are getting back onto my menu
