- Hearing about Ethan's days at school. Like when he got to be one of the kitten puppets when they sang "Three Little Kittens." Or that he really likes playing vollyball and would say, "Bam it Slam it" like they do on Backyardigans.
- Listening to Ethan sing. This is typically unheard of (no pun intended) as he's quite reserved with singing and dancing. But lately he's been singing to Veggie Tales in the back of the car ... like, "This is the day that the Lord has made." And making up songs while he plays with his trucks ... like, "We're diggin', we're diggin' diggin' ..."
- Getting some "gift" sewing done. I love that I'm done with market, not quite into crunch time for the holidays and not getting too many custom orders.
- Which brings me to the fact that I LOVE quilting. Who knew? Not me ... never did I picture myself as a quilter. But making things like this this past weekend and working on this today ... well I just love the process start to finish.
- Baking on cool mornings to warm the house.
- Soup! I love soup and it's finally getting cooler so we can have it. My current favorite (and mine alone in this house) is this super easy, super delicious Black Bean Soup.
- New shoes. I'm loving my new running shoes. I've only had 3 runs in them, but I've had little to no shin/knee pain from running outside. Yea! We'll see how fast they make me on Saturday in my third 5K.
- The joy of family and friends and just how blessed I am to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. A thankful and mindful heart to enjoy this huge (sometimes taken for granted) blessing.
- Celebrating several wonderful people this month, especially this week ... the most important persons (to me) is tomorrow.
- Vacation ... some R&R is in our near future and I'm SO excited to get away!

Love that table runner! I'm currently making another pinwheel baby quilt...you must have gotten me hooked by osmosis! :) What fabric are you using for yours? I've done one in Patisserie and the one I'm working on today is Snippets.
yay for the Tuesday 10! Love your list. I'm a little jealous of your soup weather. We're not quite there yet, though the nights and mornings are a lovely 70 something.
what shoes did you get. i'm going to need new ones very soon.
how was the run? my sister in law and i have been throwing around the idea of running it next year. neither one of us have ever run though so it's a little scary to commit even though it's a short race.
