Proof that I do let my child have "messy" fun :). And oh did he have fun ... he kept saying, painting is a lot of fun, isn't it mom?

The arch way that separates the dining room from the living room.

My favorite shot ... I love the contrast of the couch & all the browns (the tables and our leather chair/ottoman) with the orange. The big family picture will get hung above the table with four smaller family beach photos on the sides.

And one more view from the kitchen/dining looking into the living room. At the top left you can see a corner of the arch way ... I'm planning to paint it (just the side that faces the kitchen) this green sometime in the next 3 months.

** Paint used was Lowe's Valspar Signature Colors Satin in Martha Stewart's Pumpkin Pie. The arch way will be the same paint in Martha Stewart's Chardonney Bottle. **

As if painting a room (er, a wall) isn't enough creative to-do to fill a week (okay, so it really only took about half a day) I've been creating all week ...

• I created many delicious meals this week, but am looking forward to having the next 7 nights off from "real cooking."
• I sewed a tote, a baby shower gift, headbands and am about half way through 6 "Happy Little" List Takers for the shop.
• I made 2 decorative frames for our Ladies Retreat (tonight and tomorrow)
• I framed 5 pictures

That doesn't seem like much when I write it down, but it filled my week with lots of creative fun.

I hope you have a blessed weekend! I'm off for some women's fellowship tonight/tomorrow, then a date with my husband (I think I have him talked into seeing this movie) and then church on Sunday and the start of a week full of many more creative "to-do's."
